MArisaMarisa Supers is our Spelling Bee champion. Congratulations Marisa! This week’s envelope includes second quarter Report Cards and Life Skill Achievement Reports. The Report Cards look a little different than in the past.   Report Cards for the second grading period were generated by our new on-line grading system, SchoolSpeak.   During the third quarter, we plan to fully introduce the SchoolSpeak system that will give you on-line access to your child’s grades and other classroom news. This will allow parents to continually monitor grades during each grading period. The marks on your child’s Report Card reflect the current level of mastery for each of the skills or standards listed and take into account academic work only. As in the past, please sign the Report Card and return it by February 4. Once again, a Life Skills Achievement Report accompanies the Report Card to provide you with additional feedback on important non-academic areas such as class participation, attitude, and responsibility. Please call if you have any questions.

Registration is now underway for the 2015-16 school year. We encourage families to register as early as possible to help us plan for the next school year.

2015-16 tuition rates will be announced in early March. We offer several ways to save on tuition:

    • Applications for tuition assistance will be available soon through the FACTS program
    • Students entering grades K, 1, and 2 next year may be eligible for an income-based scholarship that pays full tuition. The EdChoice Scholarship program is based on income. For example, a family of four earning $47,100 or less would be eligible. The application form will soon be available.
    • Families can also save by volunteering and participating in the on-line SCRIPS shopping program. More information about SCRIPS is in this envelope.

The Junior Choir will sing at the 10:00 am Mass this Sunday.

Friday is the last day to participate in the Tuscarawas County Catholic Schools Spirit Drive. Everyone received a Saints car sticker. Send a photo of the decal on a vehicle to tccsaints@cdeducation.org or 740-814-6931. Please include name, grade and school so the student receives credit in the contest.

Immaculate Conception School participates in the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship Program.   Families who meet income guidelines and have children entering kindergarten, first grade, or second grade are eligible for the scholarships that pay the full cost of tuition. For example, a family of four with a gross annual income of $48,500 or less is eligible for the EdChoice Scholarship.

In addition to EdChoice, we offer tuition assistance and other programs to help families in need with the cost of tuition.   Call the school office for more information.
